Hi I'm Keith. I'm an integrative counsellor which means I'm trained in different modalities of therapy. I specialise in person centred, CBT and psychodynamic therapies, meaning I can work to a clients individual needs using one or all of the therapies I'm trained in. I provide a non-judgemental, empathic, safe space for clients to explore and process what's going on for themselves. I work with adults 18 and over. We are all unique as individuals, you are the expert on you, as nobody has walked in your shoes or lived your life. I just give the client a space to work through for themselves what's going on for them, and to get the answers they need, with help and guidance.

Alex
Counsellor
As a person-centred therapist and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, I support clients of all ages to break free from the cycle of guilt, rules and shame around food and their bodies. I introduce clients to the principles of Intuitive Eating and explore their relationship with food and their bodies in a friendly, non-judgemental setting. We explore ways to cope with emotions without using food, through developing awareness and a self-care toolkit. This process not only improves client’s relationship with food, but it also improves self-esteem and mental wellbeing, as well as reducing risk of eating disorders. I work with both young people (11+) and adults at Emerald on Tuesday afternoons.
Denice

Tom
Counsellor
Hi, I'm Tom. I am a person-centered counsellor. But what does that mean to you? Being a person-centered counsellor means you are at the center of the work that we do together. I believe that you as a person are the expert on your life and your lived experiences, this means that you know what is best for you, I am not the expert. I create a warm, safe, and open space where we can work together to support you to explore your unique personal challenges, both past and present. You are the expert in your life and I can simply be available to help you navigate, explore, and manage any emotions or concerns you may have throughout your self-exploration journey.
I work with both adults and young people, offering sessions from Emerald Therapy Services on Saturdays.

I have worked with a broad range of things including but not limited to anxiety, depression, health-related anxiety, bereavement, loss, grief, identity, relationships, guilt, loss of motivation, work-related stress, boundaries, and negative thoughts.

Kathryn

Hi - I'm Kathryn
I am an art therapist, I use the creative process of art making to support individuals in exploring and understanding their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
I’ve worked with a range of people including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors – all with a wide range of emotional, cognitive, and physical abilities. It is also an exceptionally inclusive form of psychotherapy; it can be particularly helpful for neurodiverse clients and those with Special Educational Needs.
You do not need to be 'good' or 'creative' to undertake art therapy! More information can be found on my website www.arttherapychester.co.uk
I currently work in Emerald on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Jo
Counsellor
We are all individuals with our own unique outlook on the world, and as an Integrative Counsellor, I use a tailored mix of counselling models, based on a Person-centred approach (with you in control), to find the best way of working for your specific needs. I will walk alongside you to help you identify any concerns or issues that are affecting you, explore them safely and confidentially, and support you in rediscovering your inner knowing to overcome them, as I believe we are the experts in our own lives. I have experience in working with domestic and sexual abuse, relationship issues, menopause and peri-menopause, anxiety, depression, physical illness, bereavement, concerns around diet and food, as well as the stress of just being a human being in these times. We can spend time processing those feelings of vulnerability that can leave us unmoored in our present lives. Sometimes we just need a place to download.
Lucy
Counsellor
Hi, I’m Lucy. I’m a person-centred counsellor with eight years’ experience working within Adult Mental Health Services prior to qualifying as a counsellor. I hope to offer a warm, safe space to anyone who feels they need room to explore where they are in life, and to work alongside you while you process any historical or current challenges you may be experiencing.
I provide a non-judgemental environment, where support will be offered to you as we explore together anything which may feel too overwhelming to face on your own. As a person-centred counsellor I am
fully committed to the belief we are all the experts in our own world, however that doesn’t mean we have to navigate those worlds alone, and hopefully I can ease that feeling for you, supporting you on your journey. I work with anyone aged 18+ and am available to offer sessions at Emerald Therapy Services
on Thursday 9am-2pm each week.
